Equal Representation in Arbitration pledge
Youssef & Partners (Youssef + Partners), and its managing partner, Karim A. Youssef, have signed the Equal Representation in Arbitration pledge, which seeks to improve the representation of women in arbitral appointments.
Advancing gender equality in our field is a critical issue, and one we take very seriously at Youssef & Partners (Youssef + Partners), particularly as a firm operating in the Middle East. Our team has a higher proportion of female practitioners than any in the region, with over 70% female lawyers.
The key objectives of the pledge are:
- to improve the profile and representation of women in arbitration; and
- to appoint women as arbitrators on an equal opportunity basis.
